The pretty village of Vibrac is situated on the banks of the river Charente.

There is plenty to do within walking distance of the house: fishing, kayaking (kayaks are available to hire in the village, with or without tuition), and swimming in the river. By the ancient stone bridge in the village, there is a small "beach" - popular with locals - where children can swim safely in the lagoon. Sliding down the mossy weir into the lagoon is a fun pastime for children (and adults!).

There are many lovely walks and cycle parks among the vineyards and fields of sunflowers and maize.

Also in the village are a restaurant and a garden centre.
